Profiel / Profile

This role could be one of the following depending on your expertise and experience; You will either 1) Trade/Import within Europe or 2) you will Trade/Export from Europe to the rest of the world.

• You will be responsible for EU sales/global sales of fruit and vegetables sourced through your trading, the business’ own sources within the EU and EU grower relationships. Your customers will be retailers, wholesalers, and food service companies within the EU/globally.
• Working from home, you will be part of a close-knit international team.
• Travel is an occasional part of this role - visiting customers, suppliers and growers, attending expos and visiting other Terra Exports divisions around the world.

Functie-eisen / Job requirements

A self-motivated and independent individual with a passion for negotiation and sales that enjoys working in a fast-paced multi-cultural, international environment.

• At least 1 year experience in the fruit & vegetable industry, ideally in a trader role.
• The ability to work independently and organise your own workload.
• Providing excellent service to growers, customers, and fellow team-members.
• A dynamic approach – quick to react
• Flexibility concerning working hours – this role concerns international trade over many different time zones.
• An exceptional communicator – being able to talk on the phone every single day with growers, suppliers, and customers is exceptionally important.
• A team-player who treats everybody (colleagues, growers, customers, suppliers) with respect and empathy - don’t be an asshole!
• Proficient with technology, especially in relation to communication systems -extensive use of WhatsApp for internal communications.
• Language skills: English is a must as company headquarters are based in the USA. Any other language is a highly encouraged.

Aanbod / The rewards

A challenging position in a fast growing, innovative business with plenty of career opportunities. Salary will be based on skills and experience, plus a commission based on sales goals. You will be employed under contract as a free-lance employee and invoice the company monthly.
