Manage global expansion in Horticulture and over see global commercial strategy and P&L of horticulture business
Our Client is currently seeking a Global Horticultural Strategic Executive. This position will oversee the global horticulture strategy.
- Manage global expansion in Horticulture
- Over see global commercial strategy and P&L of horticulture business
- Identify and develop critical assets necessary for growth in Horticulture including product development roadmap
- Disseminate best practices across horticulture clients around the globe
- Liaison with regional sales teams and provide guidance on how to succeed in horticulture segment, provide guidance for expansion through distributors and partners, provide and coordinate case studies and marketing assets
- Build relationships with greenhouse construction and consulting companies
- Oversee IP development and abstracts
- Manage multinational distributors
Functie-eisen / Job requirements
Experience in Horticultural sector with an extensive network
- 10+ years experience in agriculture / horticulture
- Bachelor’s Degree, major in agronomy, biology, plant physiology, chemistry preferred
- Traditional agronomy / horticultural education. Need to have a strong fundamental knowledge of agronomy and plant physiology.
- Deep pre-existing relationships with greenhouses, distributors, consultants, and greenhouse construction firms
- Experience selling systems or equipment into greenhouses (both marketing and sales experience)
- Fluent in English and Dutch (spoken and written)
- Proficient in Spanish a plus (spoken and written)
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
