Profiel / Profile

We are looking for a Senior Day Trader with a sharp eye for opportunity and a deep understanding of the European avocado and mango market, both present and future. You are a driven commercial professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where relationships and results go hand in hand.

 Your key responsibilities:

• Manage and grow trade relationships with customers across Europe on a daily basis.
• Handle quotations, process orders, and oversee the full sales cycle with precision.
• Stay continuously updated on developments at origin and within the European market.
• Trade across all product classes (I, II & III) for mangos and avocados.
• Maintain close contact with existing customers and actively pursue new business opportunities.
• Translate customer needs into smart, timely commercial action.
• Coordinate daily with colleagues across domestic and international teams.
• Thrive in structured environments and work effectively within clear concepts.
• Monitor the performance of different product categories and periodically analyse key targets.
• Report directly to the Director of Sales.

You are a strong commercial force with a passion for avocados and mangoes, backed by solid market insight.

     What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s level (HBO) working and thinking capabilities.
• Proven experience and a relevant professional network in the European mango and avocado market.
• A deep understanding of market pricing mechanisms is essential.
• Demonstrable sales experience in avocados and mangoes is a must.
• You build excellent client relationships, yet handle claims with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
• Export/import experience is a strong plus.
• You understand the ever-changing challenges of the fresh produce sector and adapt quickly.
• A true team player—empathetic and respectful in every interaction, but direct and effective in communication.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); fluency in other languages is a strong advantage.
