As the business grows and excels, Westfalia Fruit is looking for a Head of Commercial to join their team in the Netherlands.

Profiel / Profile

Achieve results in a growing market.

  • Responsible for daily relationship management and structural sales to retail customers (prices, seasons, volumes, contracts, product specifications and delivery terms).
  • Recognize customer needs and proactively respond to them commercially by increasing margin and sales.
  • Responsible for expanding existing and developing new concepts with retail customers throughout Europe.
  • You are able to lead a group of committed employees and operate internationally when necessary.
  • Setting out lines of communication and seizing opportunities.
  • Ensuring optimal cooperation between the team in the Netherlands and the various Westfalia offices worldwide.
  • You make an important contribution to the strategy of the Westfalia Fruit Team.
  • Regular travel is an important part of the job.
  • Continuously improve and optimise the commercial process.
  • You report directly to the President of Europe.

Functie-eisen / Job requirements

Positive, energetic motivator who connects the dots

  • WO/HBO education with up-to-date knowledge of the International fresh produce sector.
  • You have 10 years of experience and knowledge of managing Fresh Produce sales to European Retail customers.
  • Experience managing Fresh Produce sales to European Retail customers.
  • 100% passion for people and "Commercial Excellence"
  • Demonstrable experience and successful in setting up and supervising international projects.
  • You have demonstrable experience in working in an international environment.
  • You are an entrepreneurial manager par excellence who sees the dynamics of the sector as a challenge.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Dutch and English, Spanish and German is a plus.

Standplaats / location

Poeldijk office, which is easily accessible from Den Haag A4, Rotterdam A15/A20, Gouda A12. You will be travelling to customers regularly, so you won’t be in the office all the time.
